Huerfano County Jane Doe, Discovered in Colorado in 1999.





Jane Doe's remains were discovered in an old, abandoned refrigerator on road 610 in a secluded part of Huerfano County, Colorado on August 10th, 1999. The report was made via a letter in which a man reported stumbling across Jane's remains three weeks prior. Jane's remains were skeletonized and she was found with garbage dated between 1988 and 1992. The model of the refrigerator was older, dating back between the 1940's and 1960's.Jane is thought to have been between the ages of 35 and 45 when she died and between 5'9 and 6'0 tall. She had shoulder-length brown hair that was described as "well cared for." She had a healed broken left rib and may be a mother to at least one child. She wore a light-colored sleeveless crop top, red men's thermal underwear, knee-high athletic socks, black or dark brown sandals with double straps and buckles, and a copper or rust-colored bracele with the letter "C" on the front. Information regarding her cause of death has not been made public and Jane remains unidentified. DNA and dental information are available for this decedent.
