The decedent was found frozen on a coal train car. There were no signs of trauma. He may have climbed into the coal train car somewhere in Texas.

The man's remains were cremated before dental charting or DNA testing could be conducted. His belongings were lost when they were turned over to a funeral home which lacks records of ever receiving them.

He is known by the nickname "Coal Train Carlos."

Coal Train Carlos

Coal Train Carlos was a male found deceased in a coal train car in Wyoming in 1995. He may have entered the car while it was traveling through Texas. His remains have since been cremated. DNA and dental records were never obtained and his fingerprint documentation was lost. The decedent could still be identified based on morgue photographs or by his tattoos.
